Custom Flags with Your Company Logo

Custom flags in full-colour dye-sublimated polyester: flagpole flags, beach flags, banners, table flags and hand flags, single or double sided. They put your brand in view from a distance at your HQ, on a trade show stand or at the finish line of a race.

Readable from thirty metres

A flag is seen from far away, in motion and often against the light. Your logo fills a good part of the cloth, with strong contrast and no long text.

Polyester suited to where it goes

110-115 g/m² marine polyester for outdoors and 200-220 g/m² blockout fabric for double-sided indoor use, with no show-through.

Full-colour sublimation

The ink bonds with the fibre, so it stands up better to sun and washing, and there is no charge per number of colours: background, pattern or four-colour photography.

Where company flags work

The most common uses are the front of your HQ or its grounds, with two or three flagpole flags renewed each season; the trade show stand, where a 3 m beach flag marks the meeting point above people's heads; and races, open days and launches, where hand flags are handed out by the hundred. Table flags suit meetings, signings and receptions.

At a conference, vertical banners of 90 × 300 cm mark entrances and zones. On an outdoor stand the beach flag usually sits in front of a gazebo with the same artwork, and indoors next to a roll-up that carries the message. The look holds together when the team is dressed alike.

Material, sides and finishes

An outdoor flagpole flag stands up to wind and sun if it is 110-115 g/m² marine polyester with a hemmed edge and a reinforced pole sleeve. On a single-sided flag the ink passes through the fabric and the reverse reads as a mirror image, with slightly duller colour. On a true double-sided flag, two faces are sewn together with a blockout layer between, and each side can carry different artwork.

The finish depends on how it will be fitted: hem, sleeve, tape with carabiners, metal eyelets, cord or table stand. Beach flags come with a 3 to 4.5 m fibreglass pole and a cross or water base to suit the ground. On a beach flag, the part that really reads from the street is the top third: that is where the brand goes.

How to choose custom flags

Format by use
Hand flags for races and visits, table flags for protocol, flagpole flags for your HQ, beach flags for stands and entrances, and vertical banners for conferences and halls.
Indoor or outdoor
For outdoors, 110-115 g/m² marine polyester with a reinforced edge. For double-sided indoor use, 200-220 g/m² blockout fabric, which does not show through.
One side or two
On a single-sided flag the reverse reads in mirror image, which is standard on a flagpole. If each side needs to read correctly or carry different artwork, choose true double-sided, at the cost of extra weight.
Flagpole size
The length of the flag usually runs between a quarter and a third of the pole height. For businesses, the most common sizes are 100 × 150 cm and 150 × 225 cm.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about custom flags

If yours is not here, write to us. People answer, not an automatic form.

What size flag do I need for my flagpole?

As a rule of thumb, the length of the flag usually runs between a quarter and a third of the pole height. For businesses, the most common sizes are 100 × 150 cm and 150 × 225 cm. If you already have poles, tell us their height when you request a quote and we will recommend a size.

What is the difference between a single-sided and a double-sided flag?

On a single-sided flag the ink passes through the fabric and the same design shows on the back in mirror image, with slightly duller colour. On a true double-sided flag, two faces are sewn together with an opaque fabric in between, so each side reads properly and can carry different artwork, at the cost of extra weight.

What printing technique is used on the flags?

Dye sublimation on polyester: the ink bonds with the fibre instead of sitting on the surface, so it stands up better to sun and washing. It also allows full-colour printing with no charge per number of colours.

How long does a flag last outdoors?

Marine polyester with a hemmed edge and reinforced sleeve stands up to wind and sun, but it is still a consumable: with constant exposure, the colour and the edge wear down within one or two seasons. Taking it down in storms extends its life considerably.

What is a beach flag?

It is a vertical flag on a flexible fibreglass pole of 3 to 4.5 m, with a cross or water base depending on the ground. It is seen above people's heads, which is why it is the usual flag for stands, event entrances and points of sale.
